Sea day......a

Our first full day on board the Thomson Dream we woke at 6am (11am GMT), we are at sea all day and we arrive in Playa del Carmen Mexico tomorrow morning.
But what a glorious morning it is up on deck, with temperatures getting high this morning we are at 28 degrees already.
We started the day to a wonderful breakfast and there was food and drinks available all day long!!
I feel I have put on 2 stone just today by looking at all the food!!!! Sean just can't seem to help himself where vanilla ice cream is concerned.

Of cause there is Sean taking up his normal position with his kindle and buried in a good book, Wheel of time, The Great Hunt, Book 3...




These guys are fantastic, and they truly love to entertain you..

So I got caught chilling out trying not to melt.


Then when things got a little to warm inside we went to the Medusa Lounge for a cold drink, air con and some more entertainment.


All in all our day at sea was welcomed as we both felt exhausted from travelling, it gave us time to relax and unwind.
This evening there's a show called The Copa, on highlighting Cuban music, dance and songs, both Dawn and I lasted 4 minutes, I wasn't impressed neither was Dawn so we strolled around the deck with a breeze almost as hot as during the day, found a counter full of food and no one to eat it, decided to not let it go to waste, dare I say after a drink slept like a log.

Up up and away.......

Sorry this is late, but today is the 1st day we have managed to get wifi!!!!!we are in Grand Cayman today I will put a blog of this up soon but here is a preview, this is the view from where we are sat at a restaurant called Cayman Creperie...



So here we are just boarding the Thomson Dreamliner, preparing ourselves for the 9 hr 45 min journey to Montego Bay, Jamaica.



But1st lets take a selfie !!!!!

Well now we're up and heading over Ireland, then heading towards Cuba and at 40000ft it's the highest I've ever been.

The seats are very comfortable with plenty of leg room, drinks and food on the go from the off.
We found Plenty to keep us occupied with the onboard entertainment.



The flight had a couple of wobbly bits down near Cuba but otherwise a smooth trip then coming round to Jamaica dark clouds but thankfully no rain and a good landing.

As soon as we got out of the plane the heat just took our breath away, but so did the scenery.






If you remember Megan, Ethan and Emily set us a challenge to take pictures of a talking parrot, a turtle and a dolphin.
Well you will be pleased to hear Megan, Emily and Ethan we managed to do this all on board the airplane...

Well I know Megan u said no cheating but we thought this was funny.....

However we are still looking for them to take real photos x x

AT THE AIRPORT LOUNGE

So here we are .... We arrived at Birmingham airport at 6.15am.
We were told to stand in one line, to get to the desk after 20 minutes of waiting to be told that we were in the wrong line !!!!!!
After being directed to to right place we soon got our bags labelled and queued for us to be checked in..... We love queueing hehee not ! Patience is something I still need to really work on.
So then we discovered we were 11k over the baggage allowance........£198 !!!!!!so we started to pull things out of one of the cases to put in the hand luggage to try and even the weight out, however we dwindled it down to £108 ..... Gutted, but never mind it's a lesson learnt. The lesson is to buy less toiletries or buy them when we are at our destination.
So we arrived in The No 1 lounge at 8am, thank goodness that we get to sit and relax now till our get is opened.
Sean is fine with flying... However I am on my 2nd ever flight, of which at this minute in time I have a jelly belly so about 9am I will pop the diazepam ready for the flight at 10.20 am.

We suggested that our grandchildren give us daily challenges for us to take photos of, Rebecca our daughter messaged us this morning with the children's 1st challenge for us: Emily :- a talking parrot. Megan:- a dolphin, and Ethan:- a turtle... Megan added "No cheating, using pictures off the internet. Mm mm so we will see what we can do x

So our 1st stop is Montego Bay, Jamacia. See you there xxxx
